Today I officially became an author. Happy author birthday to me! But man, has this been a rollercoaster of a week! I thought I had everything planned out perfectly... I was going to upload my book on the 28th, launch my website on the 29th and notify my launch team that my book was live on the 30th. It didn't matter that between my lil man and I that we had six performances scheduled in five days. It didn't matter that it was tech week for his musical, and I was playing principal in two orchestras. It didn't matter that he was turning thirteen on Thursday, and I was planning two of the concerts for one of the orchestras all in the same week, right?
HA! And let me say that again... HA! That was the universe's response to me for thinking I could literally do it all in ONE WEEK, but guess what? While I may be a day late and a dollar more (yes, my eBook ended up being a dollar more than what I intended), I still got it all done and on Halloween to boot! This will forever be my author birthday, and I couldn't have written it better if I tried.
Thanks to everyone who hung with me through all the crazy, and a special thanks to those that really saw everything I was trying to achieve and didn't judge me when I had a misstep or didn't meet my original deadline of the 30th. I know we all sometimes feel alone in our journey, but I guarantee there are those in your life that truly see you, and for whomever needs to hear this today, "I see you too!" Keep pushing forward, never give-up and know that tomorrow is still unwritten. It's up to you to write your story each and everyday.
